Los orígenes inciertos de la Inquisición en Lisboa (1536-1548): Geografía penitencial y estrategias de defensa de los Cristãos-novos

Resumen: en el momento mismo de su creación, en 1536, el Santo Oficio portugués no disponía de estructuras propias adecuadas para el desarrollo de su actividad punitiva. Por ello, en sus inicios, el tribunal recurrió a diversas formas para implementarse progresivamente en el cotidiano de la ciudad de Lisboa, utilizando a diversos agentes externos al Santo Oficio.
Este trabajo define las lógicas y los mecanismos de solidaridad y conflicto entre la Inquisición y otros poderes. Para ello resulta fundamental percibir el modo en que el tribunal se articuló e interactuó con los poderes preexistentes en la ciudad, y la forma en que éste se apropió de sus estructuras, colocándolas a su servicio.
Igualmente, se quiere resaltar el impacto que la creación de una geografía punitiva de cariz inquisitorial, tuvo entre los propios reos del tribunal y la forma como ésta condicionó sus vivencias cotidianas. Se analizará el modo en el que el tribunal creó una representación de los mecanismos de punición y control de la herejía en un periodo anterior a la implantación de los decretos tridentinos. Se destacará, también, la visión que los perseguidos presentaban dentro de esta lógica y las primeras formas de resistencia aparecidas en las prisiones del Santo Oficio.
Nuestro objetivo consiste en demostrar el impacto que la entrada de una nueva fuerza de disciplinamento social que transformó el espacio social lisboeta, confiriéndole, un cariz de espacio de castigo, penitencia y reconciliación con la ortodoxia católica vigente.

Abstract: At the time of its creation, in 1536, the Portuguese Holly Office didn't have adequate facilities for the enroll of its punitive activities. So, in its beginning, the court resorted to several ways to implement them progressively into the daily routine of the City of Lisbon, by using several agents external to the Holly Office.
This work defines the solidarity and conflict logics and mechanisms between the Inquisition and other powers. It's fundamental to understand the way in which the court articulated itself and interacted with pre-existant powers in the city, and the way it appropriated its structures, putting them at its service.
Equally, it emphasize the impact that the creation of one "punitive geography" of inquisitorial nature, had between the court defendants and the way in which that conditioned their daily life. It analyzes the way in which the court created a representation of the mechanisms of control and punishment of the church from a period prior to the implementation of the tridentinos decrees. It also highlights the vision that the fugitives presented inside this logic and the first ways of resistance originated in the Holly Office prisons.
Our objective consists in demonstrate the impact that the introduction of a new force of social discipline that transformed the Lisbon social space, giving it, a natural space of punishment, penitence and reconciliation with the vigent catholic orthodoxy.
